          Willow on State Drawing and Painting Class, Every Wednesday 5:30 - 7:30pm $20 per session Learn how to see! Many people are intimidated when drawing the face. In this workshop, you’ll learn the critical steps to drawing the human face. This instruction can then be applied to animals and other kinds of figures. Materials are supplied, but you may bring your own sketchbook and pencils.

In this class, we'll read some of the contemporary flash fiction stories currently out there, discuss ideas and concepts to explore in flash fiction, and the class will write some flash fiction based on prompts. We'll explore how short story's little brother of flash fiction has become popularized, the history and legend of flash fiction and how the current technology in the digital age is giving rise to flash fiction in new forms for the young generation.........................................................................$35.

          Willow on State Critiquing Without Freaking: How Other Writers
          Can Show You What’s Working, and What Needs Work, March 15,  6:30 - 8:30
           One of the most effective ways to improve your writing is to show it to other writers and ask them what’s working and what isn’t. In this course, we’ll share pieces of our writing, applaud what’s great, find out where the rough parts are, and brainstorm different approaches for improvement. The course is led by a writer with extensive experience in keeping the process helpful, tactful, and fun. .....................$35.

          Calligraphy introduction, Call for dates. Learn how to write beautiful characters using calligraphy pens.  At the end of each workshop, you will have been introduced to how to go about seeing and constructing forms that will be used for letters. Over time, you may repeat the workshop to produce a short phrase, address or invitation. Ink, practice calligraphy pens and paper are supplied or you may bring your own supplies............$45.
